The Troy Turkey Trot is a premier road race featuring 5k and 10k distances, among other events. Since its humble beginnings in 1916, when six runners entered, the Troy Turkey Trot has grown into one of the largest and oldest turkey trots in the United States.

2021 Troy Turkey Trot:

2021 will feature a return to real, live, in person big time racing across four events: the competitive 5k and 10k runs, the one mile Turkey Walk and the Grade School Mile. Join us in this proud annual tradition!

Due to the evolving nature of the current mass gathering landscape, Packet Pick-up times and locations and some other details are being worked out and will be communicated as soon as we have them nailed down. There will be early options as well as race day options. Please check the website for updates, more details and parking maps etc...

Starting at 8am with the 10k the day's events culminate with the largest 5k race in the Capital District at 10am.

Non-Live Running Event: If you cannot join us live, you can run anytime from 10am Thursday, Nov 25 to Saturday, Nov 27 at 5pm.
