The R Gallery at Arlene’s is pleased to announce the first annual Juried Small Work Show, an exhibition featuring small format artwork of various media at 57 Fuller Rd. Artist Reception on Friday, December 10, 2021, from 4:30 to 5:30pm, the exhibition is a juried showcase of work by local artists selected by juror and curator Andrew Ochal.

This juried exhibition is devoted to works on a small scale, with each piece coming in under 11” by 14”, unframed. Small Works are a great way to showcase a wide variety of artists and hopefully find the perfect home for their work. Supporting our local art community is important to Arlene’s as well as providing meaningful exposure of artists' work. We are tirelessly working on building an engaged audience of individuals who are serious about discovering locally made art.

“We had about 50 artists submit work for the show and it was difficult narrowing down what would be accepted into the show,” said juror and curator Andrew Ochal. He went on to say “in the end I feel we have a cohesive group of work that highlights what talented artists live in the area. The Juried Small Work Show is a perfect opportunity for Holiday gift giving. Whether for a college student, loved one or even yourself the Juried Small Work Show is sure to be something for everyone and is truly that unique, one of a kind gift.”

Featured artists include Maria DeAngelo, Ali Herrmann, Laura Shore, Emma Smith, Sharon D Siegel, Natalie Boburka, MaryK Weeks, Jean Krueger, Beverly Skoll, Susan Himmel, Robin Rosenthal, Karen Vradenburg, Maya Lewis, Lorraine Dewey, Laurie Goodhart, Erich S. Getchell, Peter Mueller, Rebecca A Flis, Alan Opresko, Kim Tateo, Wendy Nooney, Jessica Scisci Luberda, Kevin Kuhne, Andrew Ochal, Madison Scisci, Leslie Berlinsky, Jonathan Christopher Gernon, Sarah Blackman, Kate Wolford and Kelly Beam.

Juried Small Work Show will be on view at R Gallery at Arlene’s, 57 Fuller Rd Albany NY 12205, starting Friday, December 10, 2021 and will run through Saturday, January 8, 2022. The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 10am to 6pm, Thursday 10am to 7pm and Saturday 10am to 5pm.
